Recipe of Pad thai

  • 8 oz protein of your choice (shrimp, chicken, tofu, or a combination)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup crushed peanuts
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Chopped cilantro (optional)


  1. Prepare the Pad Thai Sauce: a. In a bowl, mix tamarind paste, fish sauce, palm sugar, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Stir until the sugar dissolves and set the sauce aside.
  2. Cook the Protein: a. In a wok or large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. b. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, then add the protein of your choice and cook until done.
  3. Add Noodles and Sauce: a. Push the protein to the side of the wok and crack the eggs into the center. b. Scramble the eggs and combine with the protein, then add the drained rice noodles to the wok. c. Pour the prepared Pad Thai sauce over the noodles and protein. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Add Vegetables and Toppings: a. Add bean sprouts and chopped green onions to the wok, continuing to stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the noodles absorb the sauce. b. Remove from heat and sprinkle crushed peanuts on top.
  5. Garnish and Serve: a. Serve the Pad Thai hot, garnished with lime wedges, chopped cilantro (if desired), and additional peanuts.
